Reopening next week
Caesars Entertainment has announced that The Cromwell, the company’s boutique hotel and casino, will reopen on October 29. The casino will be an adults-only experience, making it the first resort on the Las Vegas Strip with an age restriction of 21 years of age or older. It is one of the last casinos owned by Caesars to reopen on the Strip after the COVID-19 shutdown.
While the casino and hotel will be limited to adults, guests of every age are welcome at the GIADA restaurant. The award-winning dining establishment was opened by renowned chef Giada De Laurentiis.
Elevated experience at The Cromwell
A new William Hill sportsbook will debut upon The Cromwell’s reopening, with wagering options including self-service sports betting kiosks. The betting menu has been expanded to include LIVE InPlay Wagering.
On the casino floor, players will have access to the usual array of table games including blackjack, baccarat, roulette, and craps. The Abbey, the casino’s high-limit slot area, will also be reopened for players.
the first standalone boutique hotel on the Strip
Ken Janssen, The Cromwell general manager and senior vice president, stated that the property is the first standalone boutique hotel on the Strip, bringing: “an exclusive, elevated lifestyle experience to the destination, focusing on hospitality, amenities, and personalized service.”
The property will reopen with emphasis placed on the health and safety of patrons and employees. Protocols will be in place to ensure everyone is protected from the spread of the coronavirus. This includes physical distancing and high sanitization standards.
Employees will take part in a health screening program. Employees and guests alike will be required to wear masks; Caesars will make masks available to everyone.
Live entertainment returns
Along with the reopening of The Cromwell, Caesars Entertainment has also announced that live entertainment is making a comeback on the Strip. Guidelines provided by health and government authorities will be followed to ensure a safe environment as live shows reopen.
X Country at Harrah’s returned on October 22. ABSINTHE at Caesars Palace will have its first performance since the COVID-19 shutdown on October 28.
Piff the Magic Dragon will be performing again at the Flamingo, with the first performance set for October 29. Tape Face is set to bring back its mime show at Harrah’s on November 11.
Expanded loyalty program
Caesars Rewards, the well-known loyalty program of Caesars Entertainment, was recently expanded. The program is offered at 18 new properties now that the merger between Caesars and Eldorado Resorts has been completed. The combined company now has over 55 resorts in the United States.

Anthony Carano, president and chief operating officer of Caesars Entertainment, pointed out that with the expansion, members of Caesars Rewards now have more ways to earn, spend, and redeem credits.
